Welcome to the Class of 2023

We are looking forward to welcoming the Class of 2023 for their transition day on Wednesday 3 July.

The Transition Day will be from 8:45am to 2:00pm on Wednesday 4 July 2018.  Year 6 pupils should arrive at the college by 8:30am in their current school uniform.  Please note lunch will be provided free of charge.  There will be an opportunity to meet various teachers during taster lessons and to meet their House Progress Leader.  To ensure that the cashless system we operate in the canteen is ready for students to use in September, we will complete the fingerprint biometric registration.

Pupils can be collected from the college gate at 2:00pm.

In addition to the Transition Day we would like to invite parents to an Information Evening at 7:00pm on the same day.  This will take place in the Sports Hall and will last for an hour. Please sign in and collect a Parent Information booklet on arrival.  The Principal, Ms Cubbage, will speak about a variety of issues concerning your child’s education at The Henry Cort Community College. Some of our students will be on hand to help direct you during the evening.

The following staff will be present during the evening should there be any particular issues that you wish to discuss:

  • Special Needs Co-ordinator – Mr Lane
  • House Progress Leaders: Daring, Invincible, Triumph, Victorious
  • Parent Support Adviser – Mrs Pratt
  • Pupil Premium – Mrs Connochie
  • HC3S representative

There will an opportunity to purchase tickets for the upcoming Year 6/7 Welcome Disco on Friday 13 July and Comedy Night on Friday 6 July, as well as second hand uniform and stationery. We would also like to extend an invitation and welcome to Year 6 Parents to join us at our Parent Coffee morning on Thursday 12 July at 9.30am, please contact Mrs Spafford, yvs@henrycort.org if you would like to attend.
