Helping Provide the Extras That Enrich College Life
The Friends of Henry Cort (FOHC) is a friendly group of parents, carers and staff who work together to raise funds that enhance opportunities, experiences and resources for our students.
Meeting approximately once every half-term, the group discusses fundraising ideas and projects that help provide those additional experiences that make a real difference to college life. Whether you can offer your time regularly, help at an event or simply share ideas, we are always delighted to welcome new members.
What We Do
Through fundraising activities and the generosity of our college community, FOHC supports a wide range of projects and initiatives across the college.
Recent projects have included:
- Year 7 Transition Activities
- Tutor Group Quiz Events
- Prom Celebrations
- Read and Weave Resources
- Additional Gym Equipment
- Creative Arts Projects
- Library Activities
- Warhammer Club
- Minecraft Activities
- Craft Clubs
- Christmas Dinner Support
These are just some of the ways FOHC helps enrich the experience of students at Henry Cort.
Current Fundraising Goals
This year, FOHC is raising funds to:
- Purchase additional gym equipment
- Invest in a 3D printer to support learning and creativity across the curriculum
Events We Run
Throughout the year, FOHC organises a variety of fundraising activities, including:
- 🎫 Summer Raffle
- 🎄 Christmas Raffle
- ❤️ Valentine's Treats
- 🏅 Sports Day Treats
We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and welcome suggestions from students, parents, carers and staff.
How You Can Help
There are many ways to support FOHC:
- Join the committee or become a member
- Volunteer at fundraising events
- Donate raffle or tombola prizes
- Attend fundraising activities
- Share fundraising opportunities within the local community
- Suggest new projects or fundraising ideas
