Education Inclusion Department (EdIn)

This department was created in 2008 following the amalgamation of the SEN team and the Inclusion team. The department supports all students in their learning whether they require in class support, specific small group teaching or Individualised Learning Programs.

The department is led by Fiona Eddie (SENCo)

And staffed by:

  • Mrs Jeffery - HLTA for small group focussed work and additional support Co-ordinator
  • Mrs Atkins - Teaching assistant general classroom support with responsibility for Young carers
  • Mrs Beck - Paired reading teaching assistant and link for English as an additional language (EAL)
  • Ms Buchanan - Teaching assistant general classroom support
  • Ms Hicks - Inclusion tutor and facilitator of Year 8 ASDAN
  • Mrs Kirkman - Teaching assistant with specific responsibility for students with chronic medical conditions
  • Mrs MacKean - Teaching assistant and facilitator of Year 9 ASDAN
  • Ms MickelWright - Teaching assistant and facilitator of THRASS
  • Mrs Pritchard - Teaching assistant general classroom support
  • Mrs Robinson - Inclusion tutor and facilitator of THRASS and National Skills Profile
  • Ms Selfe - Teaching assistant and facilitator of General studies and Informal Social Studies

  • Links to external agencies including referrals to Educational Psychologist.
