Lateral flow testing arrangements for Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 March

Details of appointment times have been sent home via email.

Further to our previous communication on 23 February to advise you that we will have a phased return to allow for lateral flow testing of ALL students ahead of their return to ensure that students can return quickly we have decided to block test all students rather than over a protracted period of time.  On Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 March, students will only attend college for a lateral flow test at their allocated time and then return home to continue online lessons - college uniform is not required.  Masks need to be worn and social distancing needs to be maintained at all times.

Once students/staff have completed 3 lateral flow tests within college, kits will be provided for students/staff to complete testing twice weekly at home

  • Students in Years 9-11 will complete their tests on Monday 8, Thursday 11 and Monday 15 March
  • Students in Years 7 and 8 will complete their tests on Tuesday 9, Friday 12 and Tuesday 16 March.

Students who normally travel on college buses will be tested first.  We have arranged for buses to wait while the testing takes place, or to pick them up shortly afterwards, and take students home.  For the rest of the year group we will be operating an appointment system.

On arrival, students should enter the Sports Hall via the CPD doors.

Online lessons will continue on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 March.  Staff are aware when students will be testing in college and will be absent from lessons.  Students should use the narrated PowerPoints on Google Classroom to catch up with any missed work.

After students have been tested, all students will return to college on Wednesday 10 March and we will be operating staggered arrival times that are different to normal.  Please refer to the guidance for the full return attached below.

We are delighted that we will be able to welcome back all our students and we look forward to a really successful term in where we can all work hard and safely together.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and support to ensure we can do this.
