Dear parent/carer,
Thank you for choosing The Henry Cort Community College for your child, I look forward to meeting you all soon. We usually offer a summer school every year to selected students and we are really pleased that this year, for the second year running, we are able to offer this opportunity to every child joining us in September.
We have outlined a plan for a comprehensive week, with a mix of academic and enrichment activities from Monday 25 July to Friday 29 July 2022. The day will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 2:05pm.
During the week, we will be running sessions that will introduce students to each of our 5 faculties:
- Communications
- Science and PE
- Humanities
- Creative and Technical Arts
- Maths and ICT
Alongside these sessions we will be offering enrichment activities. There will be additional literacy support for those who would benefit.
The summer school will be free to attend and meals will be provided, although we may request a contribution to the cost of food. Students in receipt of free school meals will not be expected to contribute.
In order for us to finalise our plans, we need to have an idea of the number of students who will be joining us for the week. Therefore, please complete this Expression of Interest form to indicate your interest by Friday 8 July 2022.
