PSHE
Personal, social, health and economic education (PSHEE) is considered an important subject at The Henry Cort Community College. Students in both KS3 and KS4 take PSHEE as a subject included in the school curriculum.
PSHEE is NOT just about sex education and drugs education!
The subject is staffed by specialist staff and led by Mr Bristow who has both the PSHE teaching certificate as well as Hampshire Tier 2 drug and Sex and Relationship qualifications. The subject is well resourced and uses many of the most up to date materials available. Students use many interactive methods of learning, role plays, and experiential exercises as well as the more conventional use of DVDs and worksheets. Discussions is an important part of PSHEE lessons and communication skills are developed throughout the course.
