Students from The Henry Cort Community College in Fareham and Lord Wilson School in Sarisbury Green met for the first time on Saturday and worked alongside their SkillForce instructors to create and build a school garden that students, staff and visitors at Lord Wilson School can now enjoy.

After an exhilarating race, Crofton’s second team won the race with their boat called “Quackers” whilst “Henri 4”, the powerboat from the Henry Cort team came sixth out of 15.

The website to be produced was for a sub-section of the college main website, based on the Popular Music Performance and Music Technology BTEC courses. We created the website with HTML and CSS coding using a package called Sublime Text, and made a really professional looking site which can be viewed via our VLE.

She finished her Masters in 2003 and started her Doctorate in 2007. The Doctorate has taken 5 years of part time study to complete with focus on the effect of reducing skills apprenticeships. Her pioneering research has caused significant global interest from Parliament and a prestigious publication entitled Journal of Vocational Education and Training, published by Taylor and Francis.

Staff and students are reminded to take care of slippery surfaces as a result of the freezing conditions tonight and in the morning.

Please check the website for any further updates and we would also like parents to advise students that snowballs will not be permitted on site - the snow is now mixed with ice and therefore is not suitable for throwing.

Twent-five former students were amongst almost 50,000 young people in the country who re-took their English GCSEs in November after a row about grades this summer. Today Phil Munday, Principal announced that every single student who re-took the examination increased their grade to a C. This is an incredible result and highlights the absurdity of the English results, taking the number of students achieving grades A* - C in English GCSE at The Henry Cort Community College from 48 per cent reported in August to 65 per cent today.
